You thought you could just dive right into your new venture? The first month of entrepreneurship is punctuated with administrative overheads like paperwork, forms, writing checks, balancing projects and accounts, with a little bit of actual work sprinkled on top. To make things worse, these administrative tasks create a perfect storm of procrastination. In contrast, in a new corporate job, there are a few clerical details to take care of… benefits & tax forms, and then you are off and running!
We aren’t saying that you can skip these administrative overheads. However, be mindful of how they may take over as you embark on your journey.
How was your first month starting a new business? Let us know in the comments below.

First month? Really? 😮
I launched the 42works website and made my company’s services known to everyone on 8th of May this year. Been over four months and since then –
Well that’s pretty much everything. Its funny how much of a roller-coaster ride running is. One moment you feel like the king of the world and the next, you’re overwhelmed with too much to do that you feel like running away.
Theoretically everything is sorted out, this is what we have to do, this is where we’ll be by the end of this year. But boss, when it comes down to implementing it, soon you realise that there’s too much to do and so little time and resources for it.
Views/Thoughts anyone?

Month one? I think the right side should be Year one!

You’ve done awesome – 42Works looks great! The biggest challenges and timetakers for me were 3 and 5 from your list! Recruiting and paperwork!!

Haha true true – month one is aggressive.
Month one is the timeline I had set for myself in my head (and didn’t reach that goal)!

Hi Anmol,
Lol. I know how you feel! I just started my company, Ingenious Aces, and there is SO much to do! Hopefully I’ll find my way out to clarity very soon.
You mentioned you needed content writers. My startup is all about writing [content and creative]. May be shoot me a message if you are interested?
Thanks.

Not exactly 1 month. but it took me 2 months to get off the admin works for my company http://www.animonks.com, oh god! I never had a time visiting banks days for a company account!! Isn`t there a better way for banks? :/
But, I enjoyed everything and now, concentrating spreading our word and making money 😛
@Anmol Rajdev : It took me 1 month to establish the office buddy, but 3 in your case? soo sad! Govt. and Recruiting? I know that feeling bro 😛

Awesome, Praveen!
