Zone Startups/India is a joint venture between Toronto-based Ryerson Futures Inc. and Bombay Stock Exchange Institute.

Ryerson University is a home to DMZ (Digital Media Zone) – one of Canada’s largest startup incubators, seed fund and co-working space for young entrepreneurs focussing on the mobile, Internet and digital media space. DMZ has been recently ranked in the global top-25 university-linked startup accelerator programs. DMZ has been around since 2009, and till date incubated 190+ companies; we currently house 70 startups (400+ startup coworkers) in a 60,000 sq.ft space in downtown Toronto.

We have now set-up a startup accelerator program in Mumbai, based at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), in collaboration with the BSE Institute. We believe that, by having a presence in Toronto, and now in Mumbai, we will be able to deliver a high quality international accelerator program, providing access points into both markets for startups from respective geographies.

Advertised Position: office administrator / communications managers for an accelerator

Job description:

– Point of contact for internal and external communications / stakeholders
– Use of social media tools to promote the incubator/accelerator program
– Conducting tours of the Zone for visitors – providing overview, introducing startups
– Monitor and manage the office and all assets
– Logistics support – inhouse event Management, organizing meetings, conferences, making travel arrangements and hotel reservations for guests & foreign delegates.
– Planning and preparing monthly office admin / finance reports
– Ensuring on-boarding documentation for selected startups is completed and recorded
– Content creation and content management on social media, and engaging with communities on social media.
– Contests and campaigns: creative input, development, starting up and monitoring.
– Online branding: searching, identifying and improving all brand-related aspects in social media.
– Write press releases
– Produce Zone Startups weekly/fortnightly newsletters.
– Liaising with local and international government agencies
– Deal with PR agencies and help spread word in Media and coordinating with them.
– Be a good Public Speaker

Salary Package: INR 60,000/- per month

Desired Work experience: 2-3 years in similar profile
