When talking about nation building and role of India as a protagonist in the worldly scenario, the main idea to focus upon and where ample devotion and effort has to be worked upon is the “youth building” not only academically but very well spiritually. The thing that needs to be change lies very much in the very present form of educational system, so mundane and job oriented that it has dragged us far behind the others, so primitively and harshly.
Though if aiming for formation of a peculiar pattern, dots can be connected only backwards. So, much work has to be done at the grass root level itself for a change yet unseen but intending for a betterment, so fruitful and satisfactory. Proper foundation in education should be laid at the startle itself and so is the need of the role models when one aims for a change in himself or in the society as a whole. Though education commences at the home only, primary teachers should be very well trained acting like role models. Proper guidance, socio-economic scenario should be taught from the very beginning in a practical and proficient way.
Present education system aims us towards a job oriented thinking and so not much contribution has been made in research and discoveries by Indians, when at times India was once the knowledge hub of the world, so enlightened and pure. It is degrading at such a level that we are losing our knowledge of Yoga and Vedas which is being adopted by other nations and no advancement is being done other than seeing it terminated or destroyed. Our sense of gaining worldly excellence, though theoretically only, has developed our view towards the politics and society, so rude and loathing. It has made our minds so sicken, that brotherhood and fraternity seem like a distant past.
So, it’s just us, the youth, who can solemnly take the responsibility of connecting the dots in such a manner, so the pattern formed will make our life so meaningful, aiming not just our betterment but for the society as a whole.
I believe that a time will come when the “used-less” youths will be no longer useless. Our efforts will be deep-rooted and meaningful and not just superficial. Though I feel the tedious work of identifying the dots has been initialized and very soon connection of dots will take place where primary education, out of the box thinking and need of the role models will be the upmost priority. I would like conclude by adding the lines of the Yatra Geet composed by Prasoon Joshi:
Kuch badal raha, kuch badlenge;
Tab badlega, jab badlenge;
Kuch socha hai, kuch sochenge;
Kuch likha hai, kuch likhdenge.. !
