We Indians just love our cash and although we have credit/debit cards and also have access to online banking, we were hesitant to embrace them completely. Our habits even forced the e-commerce & online taxi companies to accept cash on delivery / destination.
Things changed overnight with just one announcement by our Prime Minister to demonetise Rs.500 & Rs.1000 notes. The drive forced people out of their comfort zone and made them explore the world of cashless payments.
November 8 will go down as a historic day which gave fillip to the Cashless Economy in India.
There have been a lot of inhibitions by people & businesses to accept the route of digital payments and they are not to be blamed for it. I have compiled a presentation which I have used at multiple forums to educate the masses on Digital Payment landscape which is provided below.
The presentation includes the following:
- Introduction to Digital Payments
- Various modes of digital payments viz., Bank cards, Net banking, Point of Sale, E-Wallets, UPI, USSD & Aadhar Enabled Payment Systems
- Instructions to use each of the payment modes
Hope you find this useful. Will appreciate if you can share the presentation around, which will help people & businesses make their transition easier in the Cashless economy.
