Designerwear ‘Window-Shopping’ platform

Are you a ‘Bechara’ husband who is tired of hopping and shopping with his wife ? Or are you a ‘Majnu’ who just doesn’t know where from to buy a gift for her ? Or are you someone who has sworn to god to only make 11th hour shopping plans ?

Then Hold on! as you are at the right place, reading the right thing.

Food for Thought

Ever felt how difficult can it get for shoppers to buy expensive designerwear online without touching and trying it ?

(‘Darr sabko lagta hai, Gala sabka sukhta hai’)

Here’s showcasing for the first time Lazyshopr.com, a smart solution to all the above problems

Our story

The idea arose when I saw my sister struggle to complete her ‘wedding-shopping’. She would visit boutique after boutique to find her bridal lehenga, but only to get disappointed with the collections. I told her why doesn’t she try something online . Pat came the reply, ‘I am too apprehensive to buy something so expensive, without trying.’ There I saw an opportunity and nose-dived to find solutions. To my shock, I barely found someone working in this direction. I needed a product that could combine the benefits of the online and the offline shopping.

The product was an ‘online window-shopping platform’.

Though it was difficult initially to convince stores about anything different then eCommerce model,my perseverance and persistence ultimately won.( Wills Smith – If you want something, Go get it . Period.) I successfully got some of the better known brands of the city on board with us.

Now as the product prototype was ready it was time to get traffic to the website and test the idea. This was a real challenge because as an engineer I never had any exposure to marketing. Nevertheless the spirit was there, I requested all friends to change their WhatsApp statuses, Chat statuses, social media statuses some did some didn’t. Whoever did was enough to rocket our websites traffic from 0 to 500.

I could only recall SRK’s famous ‘Kisi bhi ko puri sidhat se chaho, toh puri kayinaat tumhein usse milane mein lag jaati hai’.

I am aware we need significantly more traction to be successful, but this milestone has given us enough confidence to go out loud and make some noise about the idea and product. As we look forward to achieve more, its a humble request to all the readers of this post to share your views and help us grow.

  2. Thanks Aditya.
Definitely we shall. Will keep you updated about the same . 🙂

  3. hitesh – what will you call yourselves in one line?

you need a descriptor line. if a product/venture isn’t upfront about what it does – it will lose out on a lot of potential customers!

when i read lazy shoppr – ‘no more hopping. just shopping’ it doesn’t tell me what you do!!

  4. i think you need to mention online window shopping platform upfront and prominently!!

(i’ve made it bold in your para!!)

  5. Congrats Hitesh. Wish you all the best with your venture. I will try the website sometime soon and let you know if I have any good feedback.

+1 for “perseverance and persistence” 🙂

  6. Hello Asha,
    Thanks for the valuable insights.
Positioning it as ‘Online window shopping platform’ would be perfect.
Will maintain the same from now on.

  7. Thanks a lot. Please do try and give your feedback.
    Thanks 🙂

  8. Hitesh, I would suggest you to re-think about your one liner. I believe it is make or break to acquire new users.

“Online window shopping platform” is good, but I think there are already dozens who claim that. Also, it is difficult to make a connect. Moreover giants like Flipkart / Amazon can still be good online window shopping platforms.

I believe the one liner should communicate how it can help me rather what it does. See the difference?

Okay, let me try for lazyshoppr.com: “Decide your next favourite botique online”. Not sure if that communicates well but I hope you got the point.

  9. Nice Concept!!

  10. i went to your site. saw women’s clothes and a regular ‘add to my bag’

sorry – why are you different from the 10000000 other e-com sites out there?

  11. Hello Alok Sir,
    Thanks for your feedback.
We are an online apparel window-shopping platform.
Upon adding-to-bag any particular apparel we send an SMS to the shopper with the details of the store selling that apparel.

  12. Hello Anjaneyulu,
    Thanks for your feedback.
The one liner you suggested sounds great and definitely has an audience connect.
