Engineering Manager – Technology – Job Opening

New Year Greetings from SmallWall Technologies. 

We are a start up in food ordering space, currently kick-starting our presence in Bangalore and Chennai. We play a role of an aggregator through our app that lets users explore all the food options in any of the outdoor venues they hang out like theatres, malls, etc..

We are looking to get a Engineering Manager – Technology on board who will be responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. He/ She will be playing an integral role in leading and executing company’s technology strategy, implementing product development, and setting up product road-map for future growth.

More details on the funding (VC/Angel investors involved or a rough estimate of funds received)   – Comfortably boot strapped. However looking for investors seriously.

Exact location (Office address) – Registered office is in Chennai. However work location will be Banglore, HSR Layout.

Headcount of the current team – 4 (All co-founders)

Knowledge & Experience

• Demonstrated ability to envision web-based services and mobile based services that meet consumer needs or solve business problems.
• Min 5 years’ experience managing web application and mobile application development.
• Should have experience in the end to end application development right from conceptualizing, defining architecture, developing, testing and delivering.
• Past experience with startup companies will be additional advantage.
• Hands-on experience coding in more than one currently popular web application/mobile application framework.
• Familiar with more than one software development methodology.
• Ability to discern user requirements and develop specifications.
• Has contributed to one or more open source projects.
• Skill with MVC architecture, Native Android, CSS, XHTML, one or more Javascript frameworks, AJAX, Mongo DB, Node JS, Express JS.
• AWS exposure.
• Skill with Mobile web/app analytics tools like google analytics, Flurry etc.
• Familiarity with security vulnerabilities and risk management.
• Familiarity with payment gateways is added advantage.
• Familiarity with consumer privacy and payments industry compliance requirements.
• Team handling experience will be added advantage.

Compensation – 10 lakhs fixed remuneration + ESOPS (negotiable)
