Hey Rodinhoods
Can anybody in the community guide me about advertising thru facebook for any start up.
I need to do advertising for my startup (www.mithigaraari.com which deals with multibrand icecream home delivery in Gurgaon ) on facebook but i am confused regarding which model to go for (Pay per click, impressions model or Page likes model).
Which of these models is more suitable for startups like as that of mine?
Also pl suggest me how to go for bidding for any of these models. (As per facebook team, system generated auto bidding is OK to go for).

Don’t Don’t Don’t Do it.
Hi Mukat don’t do the mistake of buying facebook likes. I got a facebook page called Thastcoop (make sure you like the page). I did the same mistake of buying likes, at start it was working well but later all of a sudden my engagement rate dropped and now even though I have 1 lakh + followers I constantly have to boost post.
Facebook has updated its algorithm and as per the update it shows your posts only to a part of your followers (which it calls engagement rate) so even if you have followers you will have to constantly boost your post to reach them. This means just because they will be following you doesn’t means that facebook will show them your post.
How are you going to keep your followers engaged constantly? Because if you don’t your engagement rate will drop and soon no one will be seeing your posts on facebook.
Instead of buying likes why don’t you occasionally boost your posts to your target audience, this will ensure that everyone will see your post and you will even gain some organic likes. If I sound like a maniac and you still want to continue with facebook ads here are a couple of suggestions –
1 – Go for optimization for likes, Facebook will do the work for you.
2- Create 3-4 campaigns with 3-4 sub campaigns for each. For example – If you run a campaign with the title “There is always room for dessert” make sure you make 3-4 sub types with different images and different target audience.
3- Run all these campaigns as a test for a couple of days and check which campaign performs better. Close all other campaigns and only run the one which is giving better response.
Thank you,

Hi Mukat,
Facebook is more retailed to brand building experience. You need to change the strategy based on your campaign. Like it is equally important to divert people to page, website and engage.
Hence the primary objective should be brand building and engagement.

Also I looked at your price. Are you getting business currently. Since I think people might not pay Rs 20 in addition to a sadda pan. The Indian market is too price sensitive.

Hi amit, definitely agree with your statement.
Currently we are also working on same only that people should atleast know my brand “Mithigaraari” and get it linked with icecream whenever needed.

I understand that currently Indian market is price sensitive but scenario is changing more towards quality products now a days. People are ready to spend money if they are getting their favorite product sitting at home that too best in taste and quality.
And as far as business is concerned yes slowly & slowly we are scaling up.
I guarantee you just try our product once, you yourself will feel worth it 🙂
