Hi Rodinhooders!
Social Media Experts out here, please HELP!
So we at vakilsearch felt the need to leverage the power of Social Media and we decided that our Marketing Strategy should focus more on Social Media Marketing.
We have around 20k ‘Likes’ on our Facebook page. Facebook and Twitter are most relevant for Marketing our services. Our aim is to build a nice audience first. With that in mind, we started sharing some interesting posts on our Facebook page. The response was AMAZING in terms of engagement.
However, the number of new likes went down drastically. Ideally, we expected that we’ll get more new likes as our posts were seen and shared by many people. On an average, we got around 150 likes and 40 shares for each of our last 3 posts! (which I personally think is AWESOME).
What can be the reason for the drop of our new likes?

Hi Neeraj,
This post on TechCrunch: https://techcrunch.com/2014/04/03/the-filtered-feed-problem/ might be the answer to your question.

Hi Shubham,
That article explains a lot of things. Thanks. 🙂
But the problem we are facing is something different. Post reach going down is the issue we faced as well, but what is happening here is that our post reach has gone up 900% and people engaged with our page has gone up by around 200%, yet the New Likes have gone DOWN by 35%
This does not make sense to me.. 🙁

It might be that the friends of [20K ‘like’]friends are not able to see the posts, cause Facebook filtering it.
I have also noticed that most of your page’s recent post are published in the early morning hours while your “Most Popular Age Group” is 18-24 years old, so most of them might miss out these posts..!!
You’ll have to find the optimum time to publish the posts, for getting the maximum ‘likes’ & ‘user engagement’ – probably between 19.00 – 23.00

At games2win, we have 255k fans and the likes have collapsed.
I have no clue what to do
