I’ll attempt to introduce the platform through my own problem statement and see if you can identify with it.
We’ve built and grown our business (Arkenea) through effective content marketing. You can see our articles in Forbes, Inc, Entrepreneur, Huffington Post, The Next Web, Business Insider, etc. We market a hell of a lot and are trying to build a brand and a following on our social channels as well.
Now the biggest challenge that I used to face (managing our social media channels on my own) was finding great content, consistently, day after day to sharing with our audience. Some days you’re just busy and the channels go blank.
I had to go to each website and find relevant articles to share. There are of course feed readers, but then they get you all sorts of articles from each websites, making the task of choosing relevant content tedious. Wasting a whole lot of time just digging out content.
That’s where I co-created a product for our own needs where I simply enter my audience’s interests and based on that, fresh content is presented to me everyday which is relevant to my user base. Through that platform, I can also share it my social networks or schedule it for auto sharing at a later time.
This helped make the customized content discovery and sharing far easier and less time consuming.
And that’s exactly what Foster.fm is about. We’re now opening up the platform to people like us, who face the same problem everyday.
We’re right now inviting people to leave their email addresses so that as soon as the product is ready for private beta release, they can be informed instantly.
So if you’re interested, please click here. Not only am I interested in your early adoption, but to help me with your feedback while using the platform so that we can create something that really is of great value to you.
Needless to say, early adopters will have benefits when the platform is opened up for public use on a subscription basis.
P.S. If you don’t yet identify with the idea of sharing interesting content with your networks, just look at the strategy that Cleartrip or Guy Kawasaki adopt to keep their audiences engaged. 🙂

sounds exciting .
how different from prismatic 🙂 ?
Karan Ahuja
landing page is well created . kudos !!!

Prismatic is about content consumption. Not geared towards brands wanting to engage an audience. Like that, there are many other apps such as Flipboard, Zite, Feedly, etc.
I’ve used all of them and none of them help in discovering customized content and help share from the same platform.
Rahul Varshneya
Thank you!
Karan Ahuja
yes right .
you could complete part of your usecase with prismatic , mailchimp .
with mailchimp and its api you can find out what interests of your users are .
then for those interests find out content from prismatic , other similar apps .
then create newsletters for groups pre set in mail chimp .
i suggest – try doing this for companies first and if it pans ok then you can go on to expand your use case further .
Lean method taght by steve blank is possible with this idea completely .
tc cheers

Thanks for the feedback Karan! 🙂
Karan Ahuja
sure . I think its a great idea just that you need to be really using lean methods as its possible here .
you can use fullcontact api to get user interests .
also its quite hard to implement for all verticals in one go .
also checkout explic8 just to go through by mumbai based company .
tc cheers

Hi,
Isn’t this similar to Swayy (https://www.swayy.co/)? I’ve been using it for a while and found it useful.
Rahul Varshneya
Thanks Ravi for your message. I’ve used Swayy and many other products in the market. The problem specifically with Swayy is that it doesn’t generate relevant content.
There is a disconnect in what it says and the way it is executed. I still have to sift through a whole lot of irrelevant content before I can pick what works for my audience, even based on keywords.
Foster.fm has a smart and contextual search which presents very relevant content, all the time. The search algorithm learns over a period of time the user behavior and preference to bring more and more relevant content each time you click or share a link.

The connect between shared OPC (other people’s content) and revenue for me is nebulous at best. Not sure if I would be willing to pay for a service to discover content that I can share with my audience which would ultimately take them away from my property. I’ve signed up for the beta in any case. 🙂 Let’s see how it goes.

Rahul, I understand what you are trying to solve for companies.
https://pugmarks.me/ attempts to solve the same problem for individuals.
Check it out. It may be relevant to you.

@rahul :
Very interesting. I really like the ways Google Nopw customizes content for me based on the my search history and can even customize to further personalize the content presented to me. Will this work on similar lines?

Hi Rahul,
Sounds Interesting. Can you please look into SoCXO. We are also working on solving problems in the content curation, content creation and content delivery. If I am not wrong, you are talking about customized curated content delivered to the user so that he can share on his social channels. We do deliver curated content to our users either through custom RSS feeds or curated manually by our backend based on user interest areas. Let me know your thoughts.

I will download the andoid app today. As I mentioned in my previous reply , I like Google Now for personalized relevant and contextual content?
can I ask how is pugmarks different from google now?
Shalini
This sounds pretty interesting I have a constant struggle to find content for marketing. Hope this will help me 🙂 signed up as a beta user! Good luck!
Rahul Varshneya
Thank you Shalini and we surely hope not to disappoint! 🙂 It’s worked for us and am sure will work for you too!
