eBay India I ordered a canon 550d slr camera from ebay.in. The cost of item is 35,999.00 plus shipping charge of Rs. 250. When I received the item the seal was a bit tampered with, but it usually happens since the dealer stamps the warranty card.
Now after opening the pack there was no dealer’s stamp on the warranty card and the product is faulty since it won’t start up. Charged the battery for the whole night and still the camera does not start.
I filed a claim with ebay asking them to get my product replaced or get my money refunded since a faulty product has been delivered to me.
First of all they took a series of reminders and then around 10 days to reply on the issue and this is the reply that I got from their claim adjuster:
Dear eBay Member,
We would like to inform you that the claim filed by you under eBay Guarantee* for Claim Number – 73269 has been denied as you have received the item under Manufacture Warranty.
