I am Vaibhav & my partner Aditya are very happy to announce the launch of our new learning platform Fresher2Coder.
What is the Problem we are trying to solve: The problem of employability and real life skills for Engineering students.
Every year, lakhs of students join and graduate from engineering schools around the country with almost similar email ids. Most of them want a job in the IT Industry for which they are hired and put through a training program ranging from 3 to 6 months to develop usable skills in the industry. Then again, there are a whole host of smaller companies who need ‘industry ready’ people who can hit the ground running as they may not be able to afford a 6 month training period for their employees.
How are we solving it through Fresher2Coder ?
We are targeting one group of students to start with – Those who want to go into software development and want to learn coding. We have started with our first module of PHP/MySQL stack along with the basics of HTML and CSS.
Hmmm, so you might wonder how are we different from the free courses online?
There are good resources and one can learn from there on their own. However, at Fresher2coder, not only do we have a numbered step-by-step process so that beginners can learn in a structured manner, we also guide and support students with any queries or issues they may get stuck with. The biggest issue is demotivation on account of getting stuck with a problem and not being able to move the next stage and which is why a lot of people don’t complete their free courses.
We also aim to make available, paid internships and live projects for our students so that they can get live project experience and develop better communication skills.
With this, we hope that students will have stronger resumes by the time they graduate and find it easier to get jobs.
For the select few who want to become entrepreneurs, this can be a great platform to learn and build a prototype of their idea and develop it further as they learn more.
If there are any students here, it will be great if you could have a look at www.fresher2coder.com and share your thoughts and views.
If you are an entrepreneur, maybe you can offer paid internships or small development projects here.
Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
Thank You.
