So, think about this:
I take a photo.
Ok, so great. Big deal.
What next?
I ‘Instagram’ it.
Huh?
What is that?
Well, it’s nothing but “Gamifing” a photograph!
A la playing a game with a photograph.
At least that’s the way I think of it, when I add effects to a snap.
I “play” with my snap:
Ok, so what did I achieve by this gamification?
Well, I shared my picture and also enjoyed ‘Vanity’ by getting likes, comments etc!
So, what is the point I am making?
That “gamifing” anything that you normally do – by adding a twist, a layer, a social context, a spin could easily make you the next Instagram.
It could fetch you a cool Billion US$!!
Now, what do I do everyday that’s normal and boring?
I send mails!
I make calls!
Gamify these daily to do’s in a fun way and make a billion!
Inspiration – Whatsapp – that gamified sms and bbm and is on its way to many billions.
Let’s end by ‘misquoting’ Shakespeare – “The world is but a game, and we must all play in it”.
Yeah. And be Billionaires!!!

Yep, Gamification is going to play a big game in coming months and 1-2 years. If you ask me Alok, Gamification in training is the next big thing. One point – gamify call centre training and the gamily the way operators deal with customer calls (system and process). I think Gamification along with frictionless sharing (or as less friction as possible) is going to see some more billionaires and millionaires.

by the way, I loved the monk photos!
