Is It really?
Well we have been “programmed” since the day we’ve learned, that glass is used to drink milk, to look at is as “Glass is always half Full.” We have been told time and again that Looking at it as ‘Glass is half empty’ denotes pessimism, negativity, lesser confidence, greed, and moreover means your are good for nothing as all those previous descriptions are enough to brand you as the villain in current social scope.
But I think there is more to it.
I think whenever you see that “Glass is half empty” & your response is; how do I fill it ? ….Wow, I have got space with me, let me see how do I make most of it?…. Oh well there is an opportunity, as that emptiness is making me restless. Or better still … my glass is half empty because I really don’t want the stuff which is filling it, let me get rid of it all and fill it with something meaningful for me. You are representing everything, which in traditional way of thinking “glass is half empty” does not imply.
And that’s when you realize; you have suddenly crossed the line, from being a journeyman to a go-getter. In a simpler way to explain it, you have found that entrepreneurial spark within you.
But beware, you would be uncomfortable. As you would look forward to have you “glass half empty again”. Don’t come back saying that you have not been warned earlier. Have a great journey, till your current destination, and many more destinations in future.
