Hi all,
This evening we did a hangout on air with an investment lawyer about inbound investments in India. He discussed the laws that affect these investments, about FDI in Indian startups, role of lawyers in commercial transactions etc.
However, we received mails from at least 10 people complaining that they could not watch the hangout. It was generally working because a lot of people watched it, they even sent in questions by SMS to be asked to Ketan Mukhija, the guest lawyer. However, quite a few people were unable to watch it despite trying a lot. They got a message on screen saying – sorry, some error has occurred. Many of them had high speed internet at Universities and can watch youtube videos. Some others were using internet dongles.
Can anyone throw some light on why they were unable to watch the hangout? is there something we can do to fix this?

Streaming video and then converting(for storing) it on the fly on server and then to broadcast, requires lot many processing speed with high bandwidth, so might be google is still experimenting with their algorithms and technology.
Google hangout has many time failed when it reaches more viewer and long time. Even when Narendra Modi used google hangout it failed even google team was there and installed all necessary devices at place.
