Healthcare is a wicked problem !! Lets make it better…

Last week i met Alok sir and presented him my idea of drastically simplifying healthcare.

I think he loved it…..but he was expecting something else from me !
He asked me instantly , So whats holding you back?

& i thought ….. nothing.

So i decided to bring my A game and make it work.

A new adventure !

A new startup !

A new experiment !

hello folks ,

I am vansh and I am working on this new venture that will drastically simplify the way people avail healthcare . It’s all about helping people reach out to doctors easily and in a much better way then before.

It’s the solution for every little problem people don’t account for !

Imagine this what if you don’t have to go to a hospital for a consultation or booking an appointment . All you have to do is

– > Go to the app , find the best doctor that suits your demand.

– > Consult with the doctor live (we can connect you with the doctor in 2 min)

That’s it!

Now consult with the best doctors anywhere/anytime.

And the best part is , It is so convenient and simple for doctors too.

No hassle !

At core its a tech startup trying to provide a better outreach for healthcare .

Sounds cool ! Wanna team up and make this work  ??

I am looking for a cofounder who can lead the engineering.

I need someone with strong technical skills.. to build the product from ground up . I am looking for someone who is extraordinarily efficient & productive at writing the software and unnaturally constrained by the bloated company mentality.

Are you a kick ass software developer and think your work is undervalued ?

Wanna work on something that you can be proud of ?

Want to make an actual difference and influence lives?

Well we will be starting up with the mobile platform , so if you have an extensive experience with android or ios build tools , familiarity with common tools like git , gira etc and can implement applications both in Java and using frameworks like PhoneGap, React Native and build application from bottom up.

You will be the right fit.

I would love to talk to you if you are interested and want to kick some ass.

Hustle hard,

  1. Sounds like something Practo, Lybrate etc. already do. What’s different here?

  2. Its bigger than practo or any other service.
I can bet on that . I have a better way.

At core we want to be all about the Experience / Service we deliver.

    First:
Its a digital healthcare delivery service.
You can video consult with the best doctors anytime / anywhere throughout the country.
    Its easy for doctors.
Its fast, robust and time saving for the people.
It may have its own pros/cons. (Which service doesn’t?)
But there are numerous areas this will be very very useful.
** The best part is how we deliver this service.

    Second:
People can book ” REAL TIME ” appointments.
    (the usual practo thing)
Again i have a better way.
    +
    +
    +
plus there are hundereds of things that makes us unique.

Glad you asked that, i would love to discuss every aspect if you are interested.
Ph : 9488288097 (Leave me a message or something if you wanna talk)

P.S. I wouldn’t be doing this if this was another “Me too startup!!”

  3. #1. I think it’s okay to be a similar product as long you know there is a market for you in it. #2. As far as being different, some times the seemingly best products don’t necessarily win so have to be careful about that.

We (includes me) all make these mistakes so just wanted to understand what is it exactly you’re going after.

re. talking to me about it. Not that I’m not interested, but I don’t think I’m the right person. I have no idea how doctors/clinics/hospitals/insurance cos. work. May be you should talk to them instead in case you haven’t already?

  4. Hi Vansh

I wish you all the best.  but few more things to keep in mind.

    1) you can find a RMP doctor in each and every village, each and every center in towns like that..

    2) if  a doctor  give you new medicines to test how it works inside your body.if that new medicines works fine then for you he is a good doctor, if that medicine fails you will immediately consult a new doctor, again fresh blood tests, x rays etc etc and a fresh OP.

    3) most doctors maintain personnel clinics outside after hospital hours

    4) even in developed countries, when you feel sick you consult a doctor in person rather than a tele conference or a skype or  some google hangout.

    5) India being second largest populated country in the world. how many doctors will be available online and wait for some one who will ping them online.. even if i ping them online, after few minutes they will tell me to visit them in person to know better about the disease.

I am not discouraging you, a small mistake by a doctor will change the whole thing in a family.  we have back up for data, app, house, dress, food  or what ever, but we dont have back up for our life.

I do have some other ideas related to this, but not purely into tech, its purely into changing lives through various other offline methods.

  5. Hi,
Its a good idea but you should check about “Is online consultation allowed in india”. You must check the government rules first. At online doctors can give suggestions based on symptoms and reports and they also tell you for physical checkup.

check the similar kind of website for your knowledge https://www.healthcaremagic.com

  6. Thank you sai for the suddgestions , I am looking deep into it.

Video Consulting is a core part of our business.

Our aim with the service is to help people connect with the best suitable doctor
in shortest time as possible. Its a tele health service. Instant and affordable access to best doctors.

So can a doctor really treat you without seeing you in person?
Absolutely! Doctors can treat a host of common illness quickly and effectively through a Video Visit.
The physician can evaluate your condition immediately and we do have some set of rules to make the experience better.

    – You can consult with the best doctors throughout the country.
    – ANYTIME / ANYWHERE -talk to a doctor in the middle of the night.
    – Save time.
    – Peace of mind.
    – and a lot of more benefits..

We do not intended to replace a primary care physician relationship or be your permanent medical home.
You should seek emergency help or follow-up care when recommended by a Treating Provider or when otherwise needed.

The service will be helpful in variety of issues such as:
    Cold & Flu ,Sore Throat,Travel,Sports Injuries,Skin Issues / Rashes,Diarrhea & Vomiting,Eye Conditions,
Stress and Anxiety,Relationship Issues,Depression,Changes in Mood,Obsessions and Compulsions,Trauma and Loss,
Alcohol and Tobacco,Addictions,Eating Problems etc etc etc etc

Doctors can prescribe wide range of drugs which can be useful for
infections, allergies, skin conditions, travel or sports injuries.

Doctors cannot prescribe narcotics or pain medications which have some potential for abuse.

So if someone is really really really sick, we suggest him/her to book an appointment with our
    booking platform.

  7. Hi Vansh

before going ahead try to do below tasks in less than  48 hours time

    1) try to meet as many doctors in your area as you can

    2) check their timings, how much time they are spending on new patients, operations, ward round ups, medical representatives and finally friends and family.

    3) some times a well experienced local RMP Doctor is better than a MBBS doctor when it comes to normal diseases ( from my experience and i am saying some times not all times )

    4) how many people can opt for this, people got time to test and see but how many doctors can opt for this type of service

    5) the main problem with doctors is that they don’t have standard timings, you don’t know when there will be a emergency case.

So take time, visit hospitals ( Dont meet doctors but do meet Staff like Nurses ) try to get more info on doctors regular time table.

As i said, the problem is not meeting a doctor online, the problem is LIFE. A small step cannot bring back life.

In my small 5 km radius town, we have nearly 60 RMP doctors, more than 100 small and super specialty hospitals.

I wish you all the best. and again i am not discouraging you. its challenge. 🙂

    Sai Pothuri

  8. hey sai,

Thank you for the pointers,I like the challenge.
Well i spend a lot of time on field understanding the customer needs and get
their feedback on the services we are trying to provide.
I do talk to a lot of doctors and try to understand their point of view.
I didn’t talked to the nurses (i looking forward to that !)

We are getting good response from doctors as well as patients.

    Thank you for the wishes.

  9. Agree with Hemant here. I’m not even sure what aspects of telemedicine/consulting are legal in India. You need to talk to a lawyer who understands these aspects. Does Practo or Lybrate not do video consulting? May be there is a reason behind that? It’s not like they don’t have resources or they haven’t thought of it. Or may be, they have it planned already for future? If that’s the case what’s your defensibility?

And as for RMPs like someone mentioned, there are lot of trust and legal issues around those people. RMPs != Doctors. Be careful on what/how you deal with them.

You’ll get a lot of advice on forums like these from everyone but this is a business that is highly regulated and tricky; one small mistake and you’re done. Best thing is to avoid taking any specific advice from here (or any body who is not into that profession) and go talk to real doctors, lawyers etc. Good luck.
