How Businesses can use Social Media for Employee Satisfaction

How a #tag that was more for employees went on to trend in Mumbai on a weekend!!!

It was something on every Gozooper’s wish list for a very long time now and when Gozoop decided to make alternate Saturdays off, we thought, why not give away this BIG news in a really unique manner? We used Twitter and Facebook to break the news about alternate Saturdays off to all our team-mates.

The idea of using the #tag just seemed to add to the curiosity that was built around this news. It was a novel way to break an important, internal change to the team. #AwesomeStuffWeDo began as a #tag for the Gozoopers, but went on to trend in Mumbai and eventually in India over the weekend. This certainly widened the smiles of all Gozoopers!


Over time, I’ve realized that little things matter a lot. They really do! That day, we saw some terrific spark in the eyes of our team. They were charged up, extremely excited and truly happy. Sometimes, it’s important for us as an organisation to realize what the team wants, more than what we want to give them.
