Hi guys,
After having been a software engineer for six years, I feel I could use some variety in the work I do. I have been reading a lot about the need for a good design in any product and find it quite interesting. Since I am from a technical background I think learning about User Experience(UX) Design will be a good starting point. I have been scouring the web and there are way too many blogs/sites/courses, etc. On the other end, there are institutes like National Institute of Design that offer a Masters degree in design. I am not keen on going back to school. I am willing to put in the grunt work needed to learn on my own. In case any of you have done a similar transition to a UX Designer role, could you please share your experience. I would prefer courses that are more practical and enable me to apply my learnings.
Thanks in advance!
