I have been living in gurgaon from last two years and have been buying LPG cylinder from black market, because my hometown is in meerut and i don’t have a LPG account on my name. I am living with friends here and none of us have a registered account for buying LPG cylinders.
So we buy a 14.2 KG cylinder for Rs.1000-1200 from black market when a non subsidized cylinder costs Rs 600-650 and a subsidized cylinder for domestic use cost around Rs. 420-450.
I know same is the case with many more people like me (working bachelors and college going ) who do not have a registered account to buy LPG and also cannot have a registration as we don’t have a proof of residence in the city.
Lately I have been wondering that is there an opportunity to provide a service of LPG to people like me, through a registered company as government do sell LPG on non subsidized rates for commercial use. But I don’t know the legal aspects of this and would like to get any help from rodinhoods on this situation.
Also the government has just launched the sale of 5KG LPG cylinders through kirana shops and other agencies, but it still not available pan India.
