  1. Akshay,

The entire format would highly depend on the product and the kind of clients you are trying to target.

The usual format is founders share their experience, education and what keeps them going. Some also add their hobbies etc.

My recommendation go with you want people to read and know about. Dont be a meme..

You are startup founder and have chosen to do something of your own.. Flaunt that difference you have from others. Be Proud of what you are doing and how its going to change or ease your client’s life.

Wishing you loads of success with the venture!!!

    Keep Rodinhooding!!

  2. Being an entrepreneur is an exciting, but sometimes confusing, venture. There are so many questions that a new entrepreneur can be left wondering whether starting his small business was the right choice, since you have already embarked onto the bandwagon Welcome!!

And also it is not Just about the Presentation that you make to impress someone onetime or time again as well, follow it up in real Life and keep up to it too !!!

Hope this should help you and anyone else looking for the information as listed below:

    Summarised :

A company profile is referred to as a corporate profile or business profile and can be used on a web site, as a supporting document for financiers when applying for financing, to briefly describe a company’s business, or simply to provide company data. It can be used for marketing purposes during trade shows, for mass mailings, or as part of a company’s media kit. A company or business profile can also be included in company software or as a tool in recruiting prospective employees.  While this covers the basics of putting together a company profile, if you really want to understand how to compose and use a company profile, media kit, and other tools for enhancing your business you may want to enroll in some business management classes. 🙂

Here’s how to write a company profile. (Suggested)

When writing an effective company profile, take note of the following guidelines:

    1. Limit your presentation to contain 250 to 400 words.
    2. Use simple, short, but concise statements that can be easily understood.
    3. Avoid giving long descriptions for a subject.
    4. Check that your contact information is correct and updated.
    5. Collect as much information about your company.
    6. Include information to cover the suggested key content areas.

The following are key content areas found in a company profile:

    1. Summary of the Company’s Background – The first part of your company profile should provide background information. Include the year when the business was established or founded, where the main office is located, and the branches or offices, and the specific city and country. Provide a brief description of the type of business and the products or services your company offers, and the industries and clients you serve. Include a short statement of your company philosophy and approach to clients. Mention the size of the business and the company’s awards and recognitions.
    2. Company History – Write a short description of your company history from the time it was established to how it has grown. Provide separate information on how you have expanded to different branches or locations.

    1. Mission and Vision – Describe the company’s mission, values, ethics, and commitment to deliver quality products and customer service. Provide the company vision statement to define future plans.
    2. Main Business, Products and/or Services – List details of the different products and/or services your company offers. Describe your company experience and expertise that will ensure the company’s capability to meet the needs of specific target clients.
    3. Company Strengths and Achievements – Highlight the company’s strengths and milestones that make you unique. Include three competitive advantages and at least three significant achievements that make you stand out.

      • Infrastructure  New or advanced factory, office building, transportation, communication facility, or machinery and equipment.

      • Directors, Promoters, Proprietors and Staff Qualifications – Information about business partnerships and alliances, names of the directors, promoters or proprietors including their experience, expertise, qualifications, and educational background.
      • Marketing Network – Advantages of your marketing network including your regional offices, branches, dealers, and retailers.
      • Research and Development – How research and development improves the quality of your products or services.
      • Quality Assurance – Detailed information on your patents, certifications, accreditation, publications, tools and technologies used to provide quality products, including details of certifications, like an ISO 9001.
      • Clientele – List and number of the top-level clients served and can use as references.
      • Customer Services – Description of how you provide the best present and after sales services.

    4. Company Contact Information – Provide complete company data including mailing addresses, e-mail addresses, landline numbers, fax numbers, and web site URL.

An effective company profile should give a strong impression to your clients no matter what presentation form, design, or report your corporate profile or business profile has prepared. It should clearly convey the company values and build trust for your company brand, product or services.  Online business courses can not only help you put together a great company profile, but can teach you how to market every aspect of your company.

    Detailed Summary!!!

    What is a company profile?

A company profile is essentially a resume for your company that you use to establish your credibility with the market you serve. Your company profile helps potential customers to understand your business as well as to understand your company’s approach, unique strengths, and relevant experience. Your company profile demonstrates your company’s ability to effectively meet customer needs. Your company profile also helps others who are in contact with you such as lenders, the media, and job candidates to better understand your business.

Who would benefit from having a company profile?

A company profile would benefit any company wanting to establish its credibility including:

A consulting firm where it’s critical for the company to establish the basis for its expertise
    * A service provider with a service that can’t be evaluated before the sale where the prospect assesses the company’s ability to provide the service based on its assessment of the company itself
    * A company that lacks a recognized name in the market it serves

How can a company profile be used?

There are many ways to use a company profile such as:

    * Including it on your web site as a means of establishing your company’s credibility
    * Using a print version as a sales tool at trade shows or in mailings to prospects
    * Providing it to lenders to help you secure financing
    * Adding it to your media kit and including it with press releases to give the media background information about your company
    * Using it as a recruiting tool to promote your company to job candidates

What should be included in your company profile?

As a guideline, shoot for a company profile of approximately 250-400 words in length covering each of the following key areas:

    Summarize your company’s background information

Use the first paragraph of your company profile to summarize your company’s background information. Include in this first paragraph the year the business was founded, where the business is located, a top-level description of the products or services your company provides, a top-level description of the clients and industries you serve, and the geography you serve. Also include details about your company’s philosophy and approach to serving customers. Finally, be sure to mention achievements that quickly help to establish your company’s credibility such as awards, the number of clients you have served, or the size of your business.

Provide more detail on your company’s products or services

Use the second paragraph of your company profile to list the products or services your company provides. Use this paragraph to touch on the expertise and experience your company has that enables your to meet customer needs in these areas. You can also use this second paragraph to further define your target customer for the products or services you provide.

Highlight your company’s strengths and successes

Use the third paragraph of your company profile to highlight your company’s unique strengths as well key successes your company has had. To develop this paragraph, take the time to list the top 3 competitive advantages you feel your company has over businesses in your market space. Weave these competitive advantages into this paragraph of your profile. Next, list the top 3 successes your company has had and incorporate these successes into your company profile. A La SWOT analysis of Sorts.

Include qualifications of your company and your staff

Use the next paragraph of your company profile to demonstrate your company’s qualifications by emphasizing areas such as patents, publications, business partnerships and alliances, tools or technologies used to meet customer needs, accreditations, certifications or the educational background of staff members. Certifications, Registration numbers, affiliations etc with Core Strengths, specialization, addressing pain points resolution, a Picture says a lot more than words use them effectively to pass the message.

    Summarize your selling statement

Use the final paragraph of your company profile to provide a 1 or 2 sentence closing selling statement that explains why a client should work with your company.

    Close with company contact information

After the final paragraph of your company profile, provide your company’s contact information including the mailing address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, and website URL.

Whether you use internal resources to create your company profile or work with an outside resource, your business will benefit from having a Company Profile to establish your company’s credibility with prospects, lenders, the media, and job candidates.
