I hold an ownership stake in a TV Channel (Cable TV) in Jaipur (Rural-Rajasthan). The Channel started in the same manner as the other Cable TV channels. We follow a standard daily schedule like regional news coverage, Paid events, Movies. We do all standard advertising like running bottom strips, Logo branding, Video Ads but still we are struggling to achieve profitability.
Brief details about the Market segment-
- There are more than 300+ Educational Institute & 150+ Health service institutions.
- People/Clients are not very literate about TV advertising.
- People have large pockets with big money but are not English speaking/ technological friendly people.
- The channel reach is upto 42,000 households with an average viewership of 4 Lac+ people.
On these major issues i seek your help-
- What changes can be done in the existing strategy & make it a profitable venture?
- What new ideas can be implemented to create new Video contents ?
- How much the social media /internet would work where Internet is still like a luxury?
