I had a meeting yesterday, where I felt humiliated. I walked out of the meeting !
As an entrepreneur, sometimes we take it as we are raw and do not know at times if it is wise to react immediately.
What would you do ?

As an entrepreneur, we are always bound to have people throwing hard balls at us. Its really not wise to walk out or react immediately.
We should be patient and try to think what the other person has to say. Reacting immediately and walking out never helps.
Anyways, let me know if I can help.

Was “Walkout” an outcome that you planned for? In my case, I would want to make the best of opportunity and will try to achieve outcome which I wanted – at least closer to my planned outcome; feeling Humiliated : I would want to just smile .. .. and move forward in Life 🙂

As time goes by we start understanding that those who humiliate us (or at least try to) are not worth our time! Your confidence would grow and you start meeting people who will value both your and their own time. Entrepreneurs should be arrogant enough to value their own time. By walking out you did exactly the same 🙂

I would definitely feel really bad – but I probably may not have walked out. Would usually prefer to focus on the outcome I wanted to acheive from that meeting than get diverted. These are also situations which would help me go back to basics and ponder on why I am doing what I am doing as an entrepreneur.

React is NEVER right. Response is what one needs to give.
What’s the difference – React means blurting out (or acting out) the thought without applying intellect. Response on the other hand allows the thought to filter through intellect before your say/act.
As an entrepreneur, we are doing what others may not understand completely anyway, and that leads to their REACTion. What we need is patience and smile.
