If anybody is buying, we’re selling !!

We are a group of three student entrepreneurs and inspired by www.socialprintshop.com, we started www.Printbooth.in. It’s an e-commerce website and we basically print collage posters and laptop skins. But there is a twist. The collage poster will have profile pictures of all your facebook friends. All means all, regardless of the number of friends, whether it is 100 or 1000. The poster size is 24 X 36 inches, and the user gets the option to customize grid space between images and chose the background colour. We also priced it very moderately. If you compare prices of a similar size poster from Zoomin, they are charging almost double.

 

We started work on this website in December’10 but could finish the complete background work along with the website only by June’11. It took such a long time because we could not devote our undivided attention towards this plus we were running it on our pocket money. Therefore, basically we were always short on funds. We did whatever best we could. We tied up with a world class printer in Chennai for outsourcing our printing requirements and we also successfully figured out the packaging and shipping requirements. The website was developed by a first timer, and therefore he also took his own sweet time in figuring out how to go about stuffs. The good thing is that the website is now ready to be used with integrated payment gateway. Here’s how a social collage poster looks like.

 

But the bottom-line is that we can’t run this business. And therefore, we are selling. If this novel idea interests you, and if you are willing to invest time and money in it and run it, please make an offer. We are selling. It’s our first startup and surely not the last one.
