Inmins.com Another Wicket

Written and Posted the same content on www.pluggd.in  as subject : Another Wicket .. Copying the Same below

Well, surely another wicket in food delivery service failed yesterday .  www.inmins.com  one of the best food delivery service in hyderabad closed the doors.

I started using Inmins from past 3 months and i felt really happy with the service and delivery and also the extra cost that is 30 or 40/-  . So One can order the item from restaurent listed and get it delivered on time and need to pay extra 30 or 40/-  as delivery charges. even if we go outside it even costs the same or more depending upon the distance and also Time ( crucial ) .

As usual i tried to order some stuff yesterday and found Site Currently Down, We are Sorry.  I tried to find the details like what might be the reason for Site Currently Down like Maintenance issue, or Hacker Issue or any other Management Related Issue or any Notice that the site will be back after these hours like that.

Even the number provided replied Switched Off.  So i tried to contact ex delivery boy who is working with another company now. and asked him what might be the reason, he responded like they are closed and out of business.

I tried with another same service Khana Express  but the problem is they are charging around 150/- inclusive VAT, Packing Charges, Delivery Charges etc etc and they will deliver in 1 and half hour..  for the same 150/- i can get full plate biryani at nearby old muslim biryani hub. So in place of 30 or 40/-  if  some one tells me to pay 150/- to get the same stuff from same restaurant then i am not going to pay or going to eat it.

So Probably the reason is this the 30 or 40/- delivery charges wont help the company to run the system as due to price hike on fuel, heavy traffic in peak time.  or might be any other reason

As far as i can understand this delivery service comes under service sector and at least the company has to provide notice to customers either through email or put up a notice on website that  they are out of business so that customers wont wait and check if the site is up again after some time

as far as hyderabad city is concerned and as a foodie i still believe that if companies wont put up small pickup areas in specific regions to cater to that regions companies wont survive. the same thing applies to any sector be it hospital, medical shop chain, groceries chain like spencer, heritage etc etc..

What you think of this and what are your views on this business aspect?

Thanks

Sai
