IntouchId, a rodinhood-powered startup, gets 250,000 USC cash infusion!

IntouchId, a Pune based startup makes it to the “Top-30 startups from India to watch out for” at the recently concluded TechSparks event and showcased in the Tech-30 report released at the event! The 30 were selected out of more than 800 entries by an elite panel of VCs, CEOs, and industry experts.

Intel held a contest for the most promising apps coming out of India called the “App4India” contest at the event. 10 finalists were selected among thousands of applicants and IntouchId was adjudged the winners in the “Productivity” category. “This brought in the much required cash infusion of 250000 USC (or 2500 USD) for us.”, said Sarang Lakare, Founder and CEO of IntouchId. He further said. “We plan to use this money to grow our test infrastructure by 300% by buying some Blackberry, Android and iPhone devices, and in turn help the sagging revenues of RIM. I wholeheartedly thank Intel and YourStory.in for opening our first revenue channel!”

Another Pune based startup, MangoReader, won the “Educational” category for their awesome app that brings books to life for children.

You know something. it just occurred to me that yours was the only presentation which struck a chord with me at the Rodinhoods open house. Wanna know why? It’s cause you listed Acquisition as a threat unlike most other start ups today 🙂

its amazing to have won this award and recognition!! while the money may not be that big, the recognition that one gets from such platforms is more rewarding..

but it also means that now you live in a glass house where everyone can see what you are doing and also you will have to defend your reputation and quality of work!

so the tough times start now. so does the interesting time! best of luck
