Ask For Help

Is there a website for creating MCQ’s for testing/evaluation for free!

I am into teaching profession and would like to create MCQ – tests online. This test link will then be shared with students.

The site should also be able to provide scores of students who solve the test.

Will be great if the site also has an option to create MCQs tests that are time bound.

Kindly suggest if there’s a website that helps in enabling this – both free sites and paid sites.

Thanks

  1. Hi Hardik,

If you have a web server and looking for long term use, I recommend you to take a look at https://moodle.org/. Its a very powerful tool and does many things along with your MCQs requirement (check plugins: https://moodle.org/plugins/). All you need to do is download the files, upload to your server and install it. You can then create accounts for students and distribute the test link.

  5. Yes, there is a website called http://www.questbase.com. It is very comprehensive and easy to use. You can create tests online or import questions and answers from an excel file. It also provides amazing graphic representation of wrong and right answers. You may limit the time for each test as well as the password to open it. You may also put your logo in the question papers. The tests can be uploaded on website or you may send the link as an email to students. I believe it is free for few months, but becomes chargeable after some point of time. Annual charges to create unlimited tests is around USD 100 i.e. around Rs. 6,000.

My wife used it to put sample question papers on her website and the response was good. In fact, she uploaded some password-free sample papers, which help her gained new students also.
