The scale at which he has operated proves to be a distinct edge in how he set about founding Zimmber with Anubhab Goel and Gaurav Shrivastava. This startup (with its beast mode on) offers multiple home services through a hassle free process, including home & office deep cleaning, pest control, interior & exterior painting, repairs & maintenance, AC servicing and laundry.
After a successful decade long career, what made you start up?
The gap in e-commerce spectrum for home services motivated us to go ahead with implementing the idea. We decided to uplift the entire eco-system of home services rather than aggregating it in as-is condition.

How did you find people that truly care about Zimmber the way you do?
Since we are disrupting the industry, we know, it’s hard to find experienced candidates. If we are doing unique things, we need to find unique team with high energy and commitment levels. Anubhab has been phenomenal in setting these metrics and scanning the talent.
How important have good employees been to your success?
Our employees are not just employees; they own Zimmber the way we do. A motivated core member will remain self driven to implement our vision. We are proud to be blessed with such a good team.
What would you say are the top 3 skills to be a successful entrepreneur?
- Fearless: don’t fear failure, treat it as a learning experience
- Self Driven: you need to be passionate enough on your own.
- Logical Artist: only logic and only art won’t work.
How do you deal with failure?
(Identify + Analyze + Don’t Repeat) is the way to go.
“If there is conviction in the idea then I never give up. Whatever I have learned in the past 10 years, I got re-learn in the last one year. Exponential learning curve with no departmental boundaries; there is only function which is – business.”
What has been your most successful form of marketing?

During our initial chats, we remember the Zimmber founding team describing instances of how the first customers are still with the company. Having built the startup from scratch with a hands-on approach, they have been intimately involved with customer experience right from the start. Word of mouth marketing is indeed the most powerful form of marketing, since our customers trust their friends more than us. Delighting the customers goes a long way in ensuring loyalty and inbound business.
