In the past one or so years I’ve noticed drastic & shattering changes in the Indian landscape. I mean business, these BIG brands that were part of almost all the middle class or have in some way touched hundreds of millions of people’s lives in India have been forced to shut down!!
Yes, it’s saddening to see such iconic brands disappear from the land of billion opportunities. Think of the brands and you know which brands am referring to. Here’s a few of them:
1. Telegram – ran it’s show for 160+ years have been shut.
2. Ambassador Car – Didn’t know for how long but they decided to stop the production of this iconic cars.
3. Maruthi Suzuki 800 – was there for the middle class folks for little more than 30 years.
4. Regional Stock Exchanges – Almost all the regional stock exchanges have shut shop, today there’s a NEWS about Madras Stock Exchange (MSE) which was the first exchange in south India have decided to move out of business!
So, do you see the finer details?
Is it because of world politics, investor pressure, lack of real interest from people? I don’t know, but I fear that they are trying to kill the so called “middle class” of this very country. So you want to buy a car for your family? The Govt. or the company wants you to upgrade. So will you buy a sedan? You decide. Will you be able to buy it in the times where the fuel prices have almost gone up/ will go up every day & with your salary you think you can afford any of these cars/ bikes/ house?
Look around you, you have almost all the world’s largest money making brands like KFC’s, McD’s, Taco’s, IPL’s just waiting to rob your hard earned money. You decide, you wanna do something, thrive or just don’t even realize this fact and fade away.
P.S. – You can agree to disagree.
Important – Please add to this list, if you think any of your favorite brands have gone out of business or showing signs of death. (So that others can understand how many brands/business houses have gone out of business)

Ok you may have right to voice your opinion , but it should have some reasoning and logic behind it, now comeon we are talking about Gen Y,Z now in young India and you are talking about preserving Amby the loss making product of bleeding PSU
Maruti 800 the long served brand that has just surpassed its Product life cycle
And Telegram in times when we are hit with 3G smart phone practically every week from 4 major phone makers enabled with free What’s app
