Looking for a Sales Coordinator!

I have been looking for a Sales Coordinator! But have not found anyone who fits into the requirement. The major issue with freshers is they are looking to salary, without even considering the exposure and learning.

After interviewing so many young chaps I feel that they are not concern about learning – which is a surprise for me, since learning is the key factor for an individual’s growth.

What do you think are the important factors which are affecting candidate to ignore learning factor and focus on salary or brand.

e.g. if a young grad is hired by say Webchutney, BC Webwise, Digitas or any other big digital agency in India and made to do clerical work, he is happy since he is at least getting a decent salary.

So what is the funda of hiring a fresher when you know that being a self funded startup you cannot offer ball to candidate, how do you handle this situation.

Job Description

  • Lead Management – Lead Generation, follow ups, management & client meetings.
  • Database Building – Search, identify & build database of prospects.
  • Cold calling, calling up prospects & Schedule meetings.
  • Proposal drafting & prepare presentations for sales pitches.
  • Technical Knowledge and understanding of Web Solution, Search, Digital Media and Online Brand Marketing.
  • Must have creative and innovative thinking for carrying out above activities.
  • Always ready to take challenges and can handle pressure.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication, interpersonal and convincing skill and Presentability.
  • Target oriented and aggressive toward selling.Excellent knowledge and understanding of online advertising.

    What you are looking for is a Sales Head / Sales Manager

    I have never heard of a ‘co-ordinator’ doing:

    • Lead Management – Lead Generation, follow ups, management & client meetings.
    • Database Building – Search, identify & build database of prospects.
    • Cold calling, calling up prospects & Schedule meetings.
    • Proposal drafting & prepare presentations for sales pitches.
    • Technical Knowledge and understanding of Web Solution, Search, Digital Media and Online Brand Marketing.
    • Must have creative and innovative thinking for carrying out above activities.
    • Always ready to take challenges and can handle pressure.
