We are an early stage start up where we are working on building a product based on indoor positioning using wifi signals. As a software engineer you will help in building the core platform. Your knowledge of algorithms and graph theory will help solving some of the toughest problems faced due to irregularity of wifi signals, representation of indoor locations, processing of large data efficiently, generating insights, and high availability of large scale systems.
Responsibilities
1) Work on every module of the software including front end, back end, data processing, data storage, high availability, cluster and environment setup, deployment etc.
2) Work with the latest technologies.
3) Take part in product and business discussions.
4) Installation of sensor networks at the client location.
5) Interaction with the client as well as others from the industry.
Requirements
Technology:
1) Java
2) Linux and shell
3) Algorithms and graph theory
4) Mysql and NoSql databases
5) Html
Others:
1) Strong problem solving skills
2) Excellent discussion skills
3) Experience with UI design
Additional Requirements
Experience with following technologies will be an advantage
1) Hadoop

4) Analytics – Mathematical skills.
5) GraphDb (neo4j) and Java Topology Suite (JTS, OpenGeo, PostGIS)
We require someone who is a quick learner. Although advice will be at your hand, you will be expected to work independently more than often. Someone who can get the system up and running quickly will be an ideal candidate for this position.
