Lorent India an online rental marketplace is looking for a CTO to join the team.
We are trying to disrupt the unorganized property rental market by creating humanoids that will help tenants to conduct property visits in their stead, look for professional and just brokers and apartment owner who are willing to rent their flat to startup founders(our biggest disruptions, there, we revealed it!).
The incumbent would be expected to:
– Set the tone, best practices, strategy for technical operations -(for appearances sake )
– Make the final tech decisions(because there is no one else who understands it)
– Handle hiring, firing, recruiting, job assignments (“if” the time comes for hiring)
– Translate geek-speak into English for the MBA types and other lesser mortals
– Assist CEO with fundraising and strategy (Should be a smooth talker & visionary or at least can fake it)
– Get stuff done with crazy deadlines (or at least confuse the investor about it).
– Oversee the development of App (making one since we were not being acknowledged as startup before)
Skill Set:
A maverick, rock star coder with stellar projects/work ex, should be from the “Kapoor family of Startup production” pass out from one of the 7 cradles of innovation (We have kept the one in Varansi into extended merit list), should be able to talk about things like Crypto currency, Blockchain Technology,wormholes or other abstract stuff.
– Should be in backslapping terms with one batch mate/senior who went on to become an “I-know-it-all” consultant and ventured into PE, or the uber driver who frequently meets the VCs.
Remuneration:
– Best in industry in terms of karma, promises and equity(in that order). Not that it’s a prerequisite, but we expect the incumbent can code or raise(or both) as if the owner is standing on the door asking for rent.

– We are funny or you have ample time(both ways we have your attention now).
– We are a small team with some very big dreams, so should be the incumbent.
– We expect the incumbent to understand web technogies(the ususal suspects) and android development.
– Those who would refer a friend would be paid in cash, not karma(Rs 5000, plus a property anywhere in Gurgaon without any brokerage, with awesome freebies)
