Job & Responsibility:
1) We are working on structuring highly unstructured data sets of the order of 5 million and above.
2) The Job would involve, structuring the data by identifying patterns in it.
3) Using Algorithms to clean the data sets and tag them with value added information (which will be mined & created organically & through crowd sourcing mechanisms).
4) Part of your job profile would include: pattern recognition, pattern isolation using regex, reading data blobs and structuring it into columns, tagging data records with more value added info – 25,000 new records added in a day.
5) Knowledge & Experience with Fuzzy String Matching, Levenshtein Distance & other string matching algorithms would be a bonus.
Bare Min Qualifications for the position would include:
1) Strong expertise on following tools & languages: SQL, Python, PHP. Competence with BIgData & NodeJs would be a bonus.
2) Advanced degree in Computer Science, (Applied) Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related technical field.
3) Specialization in machine learning, pattern recognition, regular expressions and large-scale data analysis.
4) Deep understanding of database, data warehousing & data mining concepts (e.g., pivot tables, data visualizations, indexing, views, triggers, cron jobs, sql procedures etc).
5) Proven ability to apply cutting-edge statistical & pattern recognition techniques to large, complex and highly unstructured data sets in order to solve business problems.
6) Ability to balance technical expertise with functional/business understanding.
7) Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
8) Experience with key analytics methods (e.g., machine learning, neural networks, predictive modelling, natural language processing, text mining, simulations, unstructured data analysis, pattern recognition).
9) Familiarity with a broad range of database structures and data manipulation languages.
10) Min 3-5 years of Tech Data Science work experience
