This is how I sang joyously when I realized that nailbites (my first start up) had actually started after a month long of negotiation and one striking lucky moment.
In 2009, I started my career as a copywriter at an ad firm in Delhi. I was majorly working for an online book store clients. One fine day the client had some argument with the agency owner and he snapped the association with the agency. I was sure that the cause of contention could not be the work quality as the client had been very happy with work in the past.
I tried my luck and approached the client (after quitting that ad film) to fulfill his creative requirements. My negligible work experience and his really bad experience with my last employer made me think twice before approaching him. But I had nothing to lose. I approached him, roped in my partner, Anamika Joshi and made a fantastic presentation.
We needed a name for our company to look serious. So, nailbites was born.
Isn’t it Bloody Good Luck to become an entrepreneur just after 9 months of work ex.? Isn’t it a Bloody Good Luck to earn 50K from mere 6k? Isn’t it a good luck to get a co-founder like Anamika to make a mark in advertising world?
