Google’s new design language “Material Design” is the new buzzword and all apps are in a rush to go material.
But with a massive adoption without really understanding it, many apps are starting to look similar and losing their brand identity and character. This session is about understanding what Material Design really is and how do we go about creating User Experiences which comply with guidelines while making sure it still reflects the brand.
Robin is the founder of Parallel Labs, a digital product design lab based in Bangalore and has helped many startups and emerging companies with User Experience Design of their web & mobile products. Prior to starting up Parallel Labs, he has spent about 5 years working in the digital space which include leading a design team at Beard Design and handling marketing & communication design projects at NISM.
Contrary to most designers, Robin practices a lean, practical and iterative approach to designing products and believes designing good experiences need a team which has a combination of business, technology and design understanding.
