What exactly do you do?
I Ideate & Innovate on an established pain area in business & society. Essentially playing ‘Bramha’ by creating solutions like the ‘Self-cleaning Toilet Apparatus’, which has won Govt. awards, and featured at ‘The Pitch’, & ‘The Power of Ideas’, among others.
Why do you do what you do? Is it to make money, to become famous, to retire, to kill boredom, WHAT?
I have a passion to innovate and to bring problem-solution framework full-circle. Say the creation self-cleaning toilet is done with proto and am looking for technology (IP) transfer. Once monetized, would attack larger pain and solve like none has done before, and that’s what keeps me awake at nights. A layman sees magic, but the Jadugar is making his living. Rest everything is secondary.
Is there anything unique in what you do? And here ‘unique’ can mean anything – doing what’s been done for donkeys years and yet in a more cost efficient manner, or something new in a boring business or line or simply inventing something completely new?
My uniqueness is the high-power of analytical imagination and the ability to bring the universe to work at it. For the toilet project got Design thinking from IIT_B, incubation & Seed-funding from IIT_D, Mentoring from CIIE@IIM_A, prize money from FMS, honorarium from NID, and while NEVER BEEN TO SUCH SCHOOLS 🙂
Primarily, I am fired by the thought of social mindset change, and that’s how my ideas are polarized to mass manifestation.
What happens if this fails?
Its ‘His’ gift. ‘Thy’ will shall prevail, not my will. If there is any closest friend of failure, here it is:) There was nothing, that wasn’t created earlier, that I did. No potter can take the credit of creation of pot, success or failure, are so meager. If I were not to create the toilet, someone else would, creation is important, and not the creator or the creditor. For record, the toilet project saw success in its 7th avatar.:)
Any one or two incidents that make you shiver or feel proud of your journey so far?
Proud: Intrinsically, the sight of my ideas taking physical form as in the case of the toilet project, and thrilled by the acknowledgement by the masses of the depth of the pain, while seeing the solution:)
Shiver: What if I am not able to make good living out of all this passion, what if the creativity dies, without making the world light-up. 🙁
State one really bad habit and one good habit (if you actually have one)
Good Habit: Still searching :). The ability and gift to understand the supreme energy, and translate into showing broad light in terms of solutions to the world. Give a birth to a child, and ensure he realizes the light of his life.
Bad Habits: Infinite, countless, limitless . Very Stubborn like Karna, too focused like Arjuna, emotional Warrior like Abhimanyu, ardently religious like Yudhishtir, ‘tumhara dukh, tumhara nahin, mera bhi hai’ J.
Famous last words to the readers ( if you knew you are going to be hit by a truck tomorrow, what would you like to tell the world (other than to be crossing the road safely)?
Gyan, apne liye, Karma, doosron ki liye ( Knowledge for the self, efforts for others), Once realized, enable for masses.
