MissCaller.in – Your next customer is just a miss call away!

Hello again,

You might remember me from the last time I showed up at TRH with my nifty little PNR app. Thanks to you all, it’s getting good traction.

Last weekend, a quick chat with my friend who runs a cafe/restaurant here resulted in another service. He wanted to send the take away menu to customers via WhatsApp but he couldn’t because sending it many people would be too much hassle (add them to your phone address book and then sending the message itself). I suggested – why don’t you advertise a number inside the restaurant and if they give a missed call to that number they receive the take away menu via WhatsApp. Simple? He loved the idea.

Next morning, MissCaller.in was born and my friend has never been this happy. He is my first customer, even though he is not going to pay as he thinks that he helped with the idea. :D. Well, he is not wrong.

So guys, if you think this is a good idea give it a shot by giving a missed call to this number:

08030636084

The plans and pricing are pretty straightforward and is very light on the pocket.

  5. Hi Vikas,

Really a nice idea! I tried but I did not get any reply!

  6. Can you send your mobile number to misscallerindia@gmail.com? I will check that out.

  7. Please try again, you should get it now.

  8. How’s the response?

Isn’t the headache more of reaching customers and convincing them vs. creating the product?

  9. Hey Alok,

The response has been lukewarm. However, people are very excited to see this and lot of people tested out the service. We even got a reseller (heycaller.in). Since this service is unique, people are asking a lot of details, but yes, its hard to convince them. Service market is tough even when the product is simple and pricing is so cheap. Creating the product was a breeze and it’s nothing compared to the marketing efforts involved.
