What exactly do you do?

Well, We are a start up Theater Company. As our name also suggests apart from performing thought provoking plays we also act as a Platform for budding artists giving them opportunities to show their talent in the field of performing art. Following are the services we provide ..

Why do you do what you do? Is it to make money, to become famous, to run away from something, to retire, to kill boredom ?

 
Not getting too philosophical about why I do what I do is very straight forward, I always wanted to do something which was not run of the mill 9 – 6, Monday to Friday/Saturday job. While trying to identify what I can do, I realized everyone is doing what I wanted to do. Then came my passion “Theater”. Coming with a little bit of training experience I realized theater being a strong medium of communication has an immense potential and can be implemented very well while training people in communication. Also Theater in India was not well organized, I saw a big potential in organizing it and making it more professional, bringing little bit of theater in everyone’s life everyday and that’s how came PACT…

Is there anything unique in what you do? 

The concept of theater itself might not be unique, but the idea of getting it organized and utilizing it in 

1. Improving communication 
2. Rural Marketing

3. Brand Promotion

4. Implementing CSR programs

5. Employee Engagement Tool etc..

is unique in itself and I am personally proud of what I am doing and the responses I am getting.

What happens if this fails?

Fails? Well.. I am going to try it once again till it succeeds…

Any one or two incidents that make you shiver or feel proud of your journey so far?

I can very well narrate an incidence which makes me feel really proud and inspire me to be doing what I am doing.. 

This is a true story of a very young boy of 8 years, who was shy and introvert when his father first brought him to us and asked if we can do something and requested us to enroll him in one of our workshops. The child being an introvert tool a lot of time to get comfortable with other children in the workshop. But as time passed, we realized he was learning better than rest of the children and was also more focused. Anyways, our Artistic Director (AD) decided to give this child the “Lead Role” in the Play. On the day of the performance we got a call from his father that he was running high fever and that the doctor has suggested him to take rest, after this news our AD decided to play the role herself, as the show could not have stopped. But much to our surprise this child came during the final rehearsal and told us that he will perform. Due to high fever he threw up on the stage, but so much confident he had become that he came back again and performed outstandingly in front of an audience of 400, so much so the audience gave him a standing ovation.

I was so proud of myself that moment, a child had transformed for his life! 

State one really bad habit and one good habit (if you actually have one)

One really bad habit of mine is that I don’t really forget anything; I remember almost everything.

One good habit which I realize for sure is that I am very patient, I don’t hesitate in accepting when I am wrong and I usually forgive people for their wring doings.
