hello rodinhoods,I am vikash khandelwal from St Xaviers college Kolkata, marketing background.I have been following the way different startups like zomato, justdial, are working and the growing dependence of the people on them because of which i got interested in the field of startup.I always wanted to start something of my own.
Recently i got an idea of a startup focusing on classes like cat classes, gmat classes,ca classes, bcom classes, swimming, dance, music, gym etc wherein the details of the nearby institutes providing such service will be given where one can search according to location, activity. It will also give information of any demo claases, offers, discounts and reviews ans ratings to be the key differentiator and help students in easier decision making of where to join.i have myself wasted a lot of money because of wrong choice of institute and wanted to create something to change that.
But when i started to collect data of the educational institutes they were not ready to provide photos and did not want the review and rating. Then after further research i got to know that a huge number of institutes are there and when that data is available online ,it will addd to the already existing confusion and in the education sector the main thing which matters is who teaches well ,which is really hard to judge, thus i eliminated the education sector and thought to focus only on extracurricular activities.
We are a team of two, other person is from bangalore.i want to start from kolkata but we are not getting any cofounder plus there are hardly any funds available so what will pitching to investors now help since it is in ideation stage,or shall i start on my own to collect the data about the extra curricular activities by hiring someone at the start.?
Plus there is another website in mumbai called findurclass.com which does the same thing which i want to do.
But i feel i can do much better work then them.so is it advisable to start now.
the major problems being institutes not willing to share their photos, review thing and their fee structue how can i overcome this problem?
