Rodinhooders,
I am working on a presentation that highlights the opportunities in e-commerce in India. I am trying to highlight the trend that 1) More and more number of people are becoming comfortable with online shopping, & 2) There is a huge opportunity in this sector as a number of factors (like no. of credit card holders, internet penetration, more people entering the online buying age group, etc) that favours e-commerce are seen to be increasing at a good rate. Additionally, towards the end of the presentation, I will also be talking about the current trend in online shopping, challenges, pain points, etc.
Now, it’ll be really nice if the nice folks here can help me in this by sharing any relevant information that might help me in this particular presentation. ANY relevant material would help.

I have come across various research reports. What matters in this case is what you need this report for. If you are looking for representative numbers then you can check out Ebay India 2011 Ecommerce Report. I know you must have done a generic search, but still do check out the links on this page LMGTFY
With regards to the current trend in online shopping, different people will give you different opinions. In my opinion, shopping will move towards social commerce. There are a lot of merits and demerits to this idea. If you want to discuss social commerce you can email me on nameetpotnis@gmail.com.
If I can pull out any more reports, I will post them here.
Good Luck. Once your presentation is done, please do share.

Sure Nameet, will surely do that. At this point, I am not taking any sides. As of now, I am not sure if I’ll be directing this report towards social commerce, but if figures suggests that, will surely present this segment deservedly.
Thanks for sharing the link
