I am Prashant Chanchal, a regular RH here, well almost. Love reading all your awesome posts.
Today I seek some suggestions in a clear case of mishandling a consumer’s account apparently by some employee at HPCL’s authorized gas agency in Kolkata. To put things shortly, this year we have not made even a single gas cylinder refill order request, yet today (29th Aug), on checking online, I noted my order history reads 3 bookings and deliveries done on our name dated 2nd Jan, 9th Feb and 12th Apr.
This is clearly breach of so-many-things one can think of. This is obviously annoying. I feel pissed off and cheated.
I would appreciate if someone with their knowledge and experience could suggest what actions can be taken to best bring justice to my case.
Some info:
Account holder – Kumari Deepmala (my sister) | Consumer # 637731 | HPCL gas agency: Topsia, Kolkata
Some of the things I could think of (but never had experience with) are:
- I could talk to the related agency. Update: Done, to no avail (they’re brushing off the claims)
- I could speak directly to hpcl’s customer support.
- I could take this to online consumer forums.
- I could also give Akosha a try but not sure how much can they help us.
