Need some information or may be some guidelines to find online resources to know more about digital marketing or advertising. Let me quickly explain what I am looking for
There are number of websites where people create/share knowledge based content e.g. Quora or TED or for that matter you tube. Because of the quality of the content people start visiting these websites and thus increasing the traffic there. I guess these websites throng on this web traffic and start posting advertisements on their portals. Depending upon the target audience companies or advertisers choose to advertise their products or services on such portals.
My questions are as follows
- From where do I get dependable information about the site visits to any particular website ?
- What is the pricing model of these websites ? Which parameters play crucial role in increasing the price of an advertisement?
- In electronic media TRP is a measure of popularity and the rates for TVCs are decided as per the TRP so how does this happens in the case digital advertising ?
- Are there any agencies which help to bring advertisers to websites ?
I need this information for some research so please share as much info as possible. You can also refer any online resources available (Such as any websites/ Case Studies or for that matter any book available on this subject. You can mail me at me@mandarjoshi.com or reach me at +91 98908 17339
Thanks in advance 🙂

Answers below:
1. Most credible and accepted resource is comscore. Alexa another resource (not at all accurate in Indian context) can be used to understand atleast the relative positioning of sites
2. Pricing for google adwords is controlled largely by keyword bidding. More popular / competitive the keyword higher the bid price, pricing is for a click (CPC)
You can also buy inventory from independent networks typically larger portals on a CPM i.e. cost per thousand impression basis. There are other models like CPL or CPA but the need / context wud decide wot u shud use
3. No such measure. Pricing for text ads largely controlled by google through keyword bidding. Networks use thier own pricing depending on their market standing
4. Dozens of them, just do a simple search and be surprised
