Dear fellow Rodinhooders,
I am Rohinee, mompreneur, running my PR firm, Prastuti Public Relations.
Setting up my own business was my dream since early age and also I love telling stories and am passionate towards both. I wanted to connect storytelling and my dream company and always wanted them to go hand in hand, but never knew how to do it in those days. After completing my degree, I joined a PR agency, where I realized that my passion of storytelling can be turned into my profession. Soon after my maternity break, my dream of setting up a company gained wings through my daughter as she did not wanted me to leave her side from 9-6 office hours. This made me realize my dream of starting my own PR firm.
About my experience in PR field: I was one of the privileged ones to work with startup clients during my agency tenure, where I handled PR for startups from different sectors. I understand the needs and wants of my clients, work towards identifying their TG, providing strategic media planning, getting publicized in the right media channels and tapping the TG through these media channels.
About Prastuti PR: I loved every bit of my work with startups and once I started Prastuti (which means, presenting right things in front of right audience), I made 2 simple rules, that my firm should be startup friendly and I should tell beautiful stories to the audience. Customized PR (both print and digital PR services) for the startups and also for the events are provided at pocket friendly prices. There are different offerings, which can be further customized as per the needs.
I request fellow Rodinhooders to please connect me with entrepreneurs and event managers, who are interested in getting PR services.
Thank You
ps: We are Bengaluru based firm, so, looking for bengaluru based events. BUt, with startups, we can handle pan India.

hi rohinee,
1) do you have a portfolio yet?
pls start building one (in case you don’t) – with a startup known to you. once you have something to showcase, it will help you get more clients.
2) pls get in touch with paarul chand of prmoment.in – perhaps she could be able to help you.

3) karan is another rodinhooder in the PR biz – https://www.therodinhoods.com/forum/topics/6-pr-mistakes-startups-should…
also pls start sharing relevant PR content on diff platforms – it will help you to get some traction.
asha chaudhry
so i just checked out your site rohinee.
1) do get a twitter account for your firm.
2) i went to your resources. you’ve shared alok’s PR FOR STARTUPS ppt.
could you kindly backlink it to this post? and let me know when you’ve done that?
https://www.therodinhoods.com/forum/topics/pr-for-startups-a-reference-g…
thanks.
VERY IMP – when you use someone else’s original content – pls either seek permission or inform the author. it will help you build relations with people in the content business, especially if you are not creating your own original content.
good PR is about building relations and nothing makes an author more happy if his/her content is shared and appreciated.

since you are based in b’lore (pls mention that in the post!) – perhaps you should attend all the startup events there and blog about it? network with folks there. volunteer to help some startup communities with their events – you might get some interesting leads for sure.
we partner many startup events and are offered free passes. let me know if you would like to be trhs reporter for any event and i’ll organise a pass for you.

Dear Asha,
Thanks a lot for your valuable suggestions.
I have few doubts, which i would like to clarify.
You mentioned about having a portfolio. Can you please tell me how can that be done or can you please share any link for example.
I have my firm’s twitter account, can i mention that in the post, along with my personal handle.
Am sorry, that i did not ask Alok, before posting the ppt, will surely mail him now and backlink it to this post.
Will surely get in touch with Paarul (though we were in contact during my agency days, should contact her now) and Karan.
Once again, thank you for all your suggestions.
Thanks,
Rohinee

check out how ad agencies showcase their portfolios on their sites.
similarly, PR agencies would do something innovative with the stories they create or the events they do for their clients?
now i realise PR is about tangibles and intangibles. but you can still do lots of interesting stuff that can be showcased.
pls attend a startup event and create some noise around it. blog about it and showcase it on your site – it gives potential clients an idea what all you can do for them.
pls do an interesting PR activity for a unique venture. eg. since you are a mom – do check out atta galatta – https://www.attagalatta.com/
they have weekly/monthly activities – do some free PR for them – it will generate a lot of goodwill and build your portfolio.
all the best.

I am interested to know how it is going through as i ventured into same space but have opted a different pathway
Rohinee Ram Shashidhar
Hi Jack,
As of now, we are still in talks with few of the prospective clients. Also, there are few NDA tie ups which we have made with agencies, to get coverage for their clients in Bangalore. Also, we have now started content writing and translation services too. If we feel, that if we get few retainers, then it will work in a big way for us.
How is it going for you?
Regards,
Rohinee
Abey John
Hey Rohini, how do I get in touch? I looked at the website and all contact options are dead ends. As the resident marketing hobo on rodinhoods thats the cue for me to rant and rave and throw a hissy fit. 🙂
That aside could you mail me please – abey at clickmantra.in? We’re lookin for some PR.
Rohinee Ram Shashidhar
Hi Abey,
Thanks for throwing this fit 😉 My reply will be useful for the ones who are looking for contact details on our website
Anyways, there is a section in the web, which says, share your stories, where in you can either fill the form or write to me directly on stories@prastutipr.in (which is mentioned at the end of the page)
Also, i have mailed you too 🙂
Abey John
The stories id is buried way deep on the site and it is non-intuitive. You need to provide your contact info upfront. This is web design 101. See this.
Thanks for the mail. Will reply in a bit.
