Dear Rodinhooders,
Hope you are all having a wonderful new year 🙂
At mypromovideos we have planned to create a series of animation videos titled “Know about India” which educates us about the common misconceptions about India by indians.
In this first video of the series we have talked about our national language.
Please check out the video below.
Please feel free to share your comments about the video and let us know your feedback about this new venture.

#Update1
Check out our second video on the KAI series.
Why is India called Hindustan if it is secular?
Religion- even if it is mentioned in passing- is a big no-no in our country, so dare we trace the origin of the word “Hindustan”? Yes, logically we were just tracing the etymology and not making any religious statements…but we, as a nation, are often not that logical… right? Who knew if people would protest, burn effigies, go to the media…demand special screening??? Watch video to know more..

anil – I LOVED THE QUALITY OF YOUR ANIMATION.
BUT…
my humble suggestion –
stick to topics (under your umbrella ‘Know about India’ ) that add some real value to people’s knowledge or help school kids with the GK, or help us in some “how to” wayÂ
let’s say for example – feature a lesser known town/city of india that has a lot of history buried in it but isn’t a popular tourist place….
to me – whether hindi is technically/officially/according to the constitution our national language or not doesn’t make a difference…. (my personal view only!)

in simple words, content is king. your content is weak. but execution is beautiful & strong!

Thank you for the constructive feedback Asha.Â

With Republic Day coming up, how about a video on Indian inventions that have been plagiarised by the West. For instance, the ‘hundi’ system by Gujarati businessmen that became travellers cheque; Baudhanya predates Pythagoras theorem by at-least 1,000 years and then we have the famed Damascus steel which was actually made in present day Salem in Tamil Nadu.
