I have been managing 3 domains for past 1+ years without glitches. I don’t think you should be worried.

Its Simple Exercise for any online transaction
1) save the page where your order is confirmed
2) Save your bank transaction page where you can view transaction details and other details relating to
3) Once transaction is done and you get welcome letter from Go Daddy, Save that email and also on your admin page check your package details
4) Make a round of the transaction details on your bank account statement
See, this applies for any online transaction, some times money refunds back to your account, some times you might get wrong package accidentally .. Mistakes wont happen but if happen, you had proof in hand either get your money back or get the product you choosed. Its Simple
Thanks

Just the domain? I had problems with sending emails when I used their hosting. The emails took 12+ hours to deliver.

Hi
I have 100+ domains and there is no problem using Godaddy. The only thing to keep in mind is use a fast net connection as the website is sometimes really slow. Apart from that its a gr8 service provider. Might be sometimes u will find cheaper domains on other site especially for the first year.
Hope this help.
Cheers!

Hi Raju.
My Personal experience with GoDaddy. when you buy a domain and at the end you complete transaction thru credit card, they keep your credit card credentials saved.
I would never know of it until the next time when I selected another domain. As I added it to cart, it straight away processed my transaction. My good luck was that I actually wanted the domain so no real money lost. I dont like the fact that my CC credentials were saved on the profile.
My experience with BigRock has also been quite bad. I am very happy with https://www.net4.in and the best part part is the customer support they offer thru a helpline number 24×7. Their team is extremely helpful and patient.
Also I personally feel its better to do a transaction by selecting on net banking option rather than ” pay thru credit card” as there are too many protective walls in that mode of payment.
Cheers!

GoDaddy is one of the most preferred service for domain booking across the globe, Now it has got its presence in India.
I suggest to become familiar with the use of godaddy admin panel you can see few of their youtube videos so that you would get confidence on things that you would be doing.
Earlier I was using net4domain and indiatimes, I had no other choice but to move to godaddy.

You need to make sure that you didnot select Auto Renewal feature. (becoz for some domains you may not have the intention to renew the domain on 2nd year)

I recommend not to use any Credit Card for payment and necessarily disable auto renewal. They keep on charging you without taking your permission and it becomes a hassle to reverse the charges. Go Daddy has India focus operations now so you can book domains by paying through your net banking enabled account. There are so many products and services they try to sell you so carefully uncheck all the unnecessary services.
If you take these precautions all should work well. I have a dozen domain with Go Daddy and so far no serious issues.

try http://www.admaws.com too, compare prices, and buy from us if you could! 🙂

CC details are never saved . Nor your CVV number . They have a mechanism by which they get a secret key from the provider which is unique for each merchant . So only Godaddy in this case can charge you even if that secret key is lost or shared.

and use a cloud for hosting .
Dont use godaddy for emails and hosting . There are better options .
