[PreLaunch] Need feedback on new Text To Speech API for Indian Languages ( Hindi * )

We have just launched Beta API, for RICH Text to speech conversions.
Need your help / feedback in evaluating and improvising it.

Whats Special:
– Support for India – Hindi language.
– Support for English ( Male / Female ) voices

How to use it:
 Dial2verify Text to Speech API is available to be used for FREE.
The free version limits 250 characters per text to speech request.

    I tried the API and its pretty cool! Little rough around the edges but pretty nice.

    What can we use it for and what cant we use it for as of for now?

    Nice to know that…Did you try it for Hindi? OR Marathi ? ( If marathi, then yes, we need to workout a lot around it, it supports hindi and english accent quite well )

    For better TTS ( Hindi ), then please type words in hindi

  3. There are ample of use cases with voice api,

    1. You can build dynamic TTS voice prompts for telephony applications
    2. You can introduce voice into web / apps using our TTS API and lot more….like coursewares / news readers / reader apps etc,

  4. Tried both in Hindi  and Marathi.

    हिन्दी and मराठी

    some pronunciations were kinda funny but its pretty close to be actually usable in IVRS and other production stuff. I am impressed with the work you guys are putting in.

  6. The file size is pretty small and easily used in applications (online and mobile).

    English Male voice is pretty clear (better than English Female Voice), and for a change it said my name correctly … that was for the first time a text to speech engine did so! Kudos!

  7. HI,
    Little suggestion, Introduction of Commas, full stops,  Question marks etc affect the pronunciation….and hence must be used meticulously….

    for ex. In above case,
    Instead of
    https://tts.mivr.dial2verify.in/?text=यह अच्छी बात है. हाई ना? क्यों? तुम्हारी क्या राय हैं?&lang=IN-HI

    Below line would sound better
