With due respect to all my co-departments and co-functions, I want to introduce myself as Mr. Sales. My DNA says that I am the core function for the existence of any business in the world.
I am writing this today as I am not sure how I am perceived. There are so many colleges that give MBA degrees in sales & marketing. Not many teach sales. Not many give me the importance and the core skills that are required to be me. Everyone wants to become Mr. Strategy and Ms Marketing.
All organizations need me but the skills I need are barely taught ! I need to know who I am and how can I gain the respect as a fresher. How do I feel proud and confident when I begin my career as Mr. Sales.
I have brothers and sisters namely Ms. Chanel sales, Ms. Corporate sales, Mr. Direct sales, Mr. B2B sales, Ms. B2C sales, Ms. Counter sales, Mr. Product sales, Ms. Soft sales,. and so on..
Why am I neglected as a role and Ms. Marketing so coveted ?
