Considering the increased use of on-demand taxi services, the first thought that a user has, is to open up his smartphone and browse through various applications available like Ola, Uber, TFS to find the nearest available taxi. Switching from one app to another to find the best option available for a ride somewhat usually irritates a user. This is when we decided to build Scootapp.
So this is what Scootapp does :
1. Scoot automatically reads your current location and provides you with a list of all the available cabs around you. Currently we integrate Uber, Ola cabs and Taxi for Sure
2. It lists the ETA along with the service provider’s name. It also has a offers section where it shows relevant current offers
3. Once you have selected your nearest cab, the app will lead you to the relevant service providers app to complete the booking
4. In case you do not have the service providers app installed, it will take you to the play store to install the relevent app to complete your booking
You can try out the app here : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scootapp
The IOS app will be out soon, we have already submitted it to Apple for approval .
Dear Rodinhooders,
Please let me your views and suggestions on the app. Would really appreciate your views on:
a. What next features should we built in. We are working on cost integration, deeplinking of apps, integrating more taxi services like Meru, and also doing it worlwide and integrating hailo, lyft, sidecar etc
2. What innovative product marketing techniques would you suggest? We obviously don’t have lots of money, so we are looking at features which will give it a social twist and compel users to share the app
PS: If you like the app please do share it with your friends and family who use taxi regularly 🙂
You can follow us on twitter and facebook. Our twitter handle is @ScootApp and our facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/scootapp
Thanks,
Gunjan
