Seeking a Techie aspiring to be an Entrepreneur

Hi Guys,

A tech co-founder is what I am looking for. Currently, I am in a job at a senior level and have had 34 years of experience across sectors and functions in India and South Africa, including starting and growing brick and mortar startups. On the sidelines I am developing a startup, though in the initial stage i.e. Business Plan, processes etc. Presently, clear about the entire picture and concept, which will be first in breed in the real estate services space-(not buying, selling, renting properties). It’s unique and aimed at the Homebuyers across the world, initially in India. Its’ about ‘enabling and empowering’ the home buyers vis-à-vis the sellers. Its’ disruptive of the practices in the real estate sector and has the potential of becoming a benchmark over time. Currently I am working, earning a salary and funding the start-up planning and tasks related to it. I believe, throughout my working life, I have been diligent and absolutely passionate about what I have done for others all these years and now wish to stretch that learning for starting as an entrepreneur.

In this journey, I am seeking an associate who is an Engineer from top IIT’s/B-schools, who is conceptually strong, understands technology and has a tech vision, can conceive, design, code, operationalize, troubleshoot, network, manage, innovate the frontend and backend and create and lead manage a team, in addition to understanding and appreciating the other key functions of business. Needless to say, the person has to be compatible in personal traits, diligence, passion and yet be fun working as a team and leading the tech function to natural growth in a flat structure. Like me, initially he could stick to his job, since there is no salary component at present since bootstrapping. However, equity will be negotiated.

The plan is to commence brick and mortar business sometime between January 2015 and March 2015 with a MVP (minimum viable product) website, test market in Mumbai and Pune, acquire customers, acquire revenues, deliver services, acquire associates, validate processes, plan for growth and full market launch (i.e. 7 metros) 1-1.5 year post commencement, launch mobile app., reach other centers, sustain, grow and graduate to IPO over a 5 year term.
