We have started this business with an aspiration to revolutionize the Gold & Diamond Jewellery space by solving the ‘real’ challenges of a Jewellery lover. About the Role
We are looking for Experienced Software Developers who have successfully executed e-Commerce projects. We have used Magento platform for our eCommerce store and hence we are looking for only those people who have at least 2-5 years of experience of customization of platform, integration of Apps and modifications of functionalities in and around the eco-system around of this platform.
At PerKarat.com, a Senior Software Develop is expected to understand the Business & Technical requirements from a Product Manager and a Project Manager and then come up with solutions and work-arounds for the problem statement. Usually you are expected to resolve issues in a matter of few hours with little or no help from team-members (Of course Google and Stack Exchange, are a perfect thing to seek help from).
Almost every week we have new ideas to be evaluated for implementation. And we brainstorm among ourselves on parameters like Technical Complexity, User’s ease of adoption, Time & Cost of building it, etc. You will be expected to comment on these aspects with your native experience in technology domain (and not only from your gut feeling!)
It is important for you to note that, at any point of time you will be dividing your work hours into three major items –
a) resolving the burning issues of the day (and any eCommerce company has at least a few burning issues every day). In nutshell, Bug Fixing & Providing Work-around solutions;
b) Developing a complete module which will be due for release in a matter of few weeks (the real development work you always wanted to do);
c) Learn. Yes, you are expected to learn new skills and new technologies which helps grow our e-Commerce
At some point of time, after you prove your expertise (usually 3-6 months), you will be expected to take complete ownership of multiple modules and handle the complete product cycle with your team of 2-3 younger developers.
About the Candidate:
- Should have worked in Ecommerce organizations and have a fair understanding of the deadlines and the overall working environment.
- Should have actually developed Web Applications. And holds strong knowledge of Magento, PHP, MySQL, Java Script, etc.
- Good Understanding of Magento plugins and their integration into the existing environment.
- A fair understanding of Payment Gateway integrations, Shopping Cart Development, Logistics Integration, etc for Ecommerce portals.
- Good understanding of Web 2.0 concepts.
- Should be able to research and implement solutions quickly.
- Should be able to complete tasks independently.
- Should be able to lead and mentor a team 3-5 Developers.
- Technical Documentation Skills.
Candidate’s Qualifications
- MCA / BE / B. Tech. (any Specialization)
- Solid Understanding of Web & eCommerce technologies and equally good coding skills.
