Hello Rodinhooders,
In this age of digitalisation and the plethora of resources available on the Web, there is no dearth of finding answers to the questions we are often bugged with. This digital revolution has impacted and changed quite a few industries , Music being one such revolutionary change witnessing phenomena.
We may say so about reading in a similar breath. However, I find it compelling to ask fellow entrepreneurs if they feel so? Have you witnessed the revolution in reading or books as the Music industry? When I go back to bed every night, I am just overwhelmed thinking about all those things I read in the few hours I can squeeze out everyday. And being a person fond of reading, I have quite a few interests to read about. Given 4-5 interests also (some people have even more), I find it increasingly difficult to organise and remember the key points that I should have remembered. Just take the example of The Rodinhoods. We have so many articles and to couple it with far more interesting replies and brainstorming arguments. At the end of the day , all of the articles come swirling in my head and the drown me into the ocean of confusion!!!

Not only this, with such immense freedom that a person enjoys in the digital age, there are a lot many articles tagged by my own interest and appearing on my FB wall with a catchy title, that I am tempted to read it in a fresh window only to find out to be an addition to the junk space of my memory!!! There are lots of articles we read and leave midway.People write a lot and with this comes greater need for choosing the things we read.We cannot have a regulatory authority to control what’s written(its horrible to even think of this!!), and hence we are faced with increasing need to get our read without having to scrounge the entire web or even a social boomarking site which has also become a headache for me. I deeply feel a complete sense of attachment to this sentiment

Many of you would agree!!!! Only recently, I came to know about the social bookmarking sites like the likes of Deli.cio.us which are supposed to make bookmarks a social phenomena. Deli.cio.us boasted of 180 million unique URLs saved till 2008.However, it came as a rude shock to me when I opened the site. To me, its becoming the classic optical illusion!! The site is again a subset of the bigger world wide web.And this subset too is unfortunately huge. Before you lose concentration, here’s a quick F5 moment.
So the BIG QUESTION–
- How do you improve your reading quality as well as get what you want?
- And when you have read the one thing you really want to share or put it into your cloud, what else can you do to immediately reproduce it offline? Not every day is a WiFi day for millions of Indian users.
