I was reading the “Are you bribed to work or is work your bribe”, i came across the salary comparision part in which it was published a start up during the first year when compared to an MNC would give u 10 lacs per annum as a middle manager, when MNC would be paying out 15 lacs. I understand that a startup is likely to pay around 33% less than an established company would be paying to the candidate.
My doubts are , what kind of startup are we talking about? Why would a startup need a middle manager?
What makes a company still to be considered as a startup, but requires a middle management, and pay them 10 lacs. I can never pay the same figure myself in my startup!, or maybe I am starting too low.
My idea of being a startup is a period of minimum 7 years, after which it could be considered as an equal opportunity entity. But till then I think a business should be run in typical marwadi fashion. Everything and anything which is related to business at hand should be decided by people who have been at core of it.
